Low Fat Brownies

Recipe #362394 | 42 min | 12 min prep | add private note

The original recipe called for 1/2 cup of canola oil, and it served 6. The recipe stated it only contained 1 gram of fat per serving, but I looked up canola oil online and it has 14 grams of fat per tablespoon, which is about 120 grams of fat for 1/2 cup. Divide that by 6 that's 20 grams of fat per serving just with the canola oil. Did I do the math wrong? How is this recipe only 1 gram of fat each using canola oil? I haven't tried it yet, just wanted to see what the nutrition facts said after I took out the canola oil.

These are a nice brownie - a bit more moist then cakelike but they do turn out well. Thanks for taking the time to adjust the recipe so it is healthier. Made for Pick A Chef Event Spring 2009
