Saucy recipe with celery and onions. Family favourite. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes to make good use of the sauce.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    Brown chicken slowly in skillet in 1/4 cup of salad oil.

    Remove chicken.
  3. 3
    In skillet, cook onions and celery until tender.
  4. 4
    Add remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste and simmer for 10 minutes (sometimes I skip the simmering).

    Place chicken in 9x11 baking dish.

    Pour sauce over chicken.

    Bake uncovered in slow oven (325-350 degrees) for 1 1/4 hrs or until done.
