King of Kingston Cocktail

A tasty sounding cocktail inspired by Jamaica.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce gin
  • 1/2 ounce creme de banane
  • 1 teaspoon grapefruit juice
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon grenadine
  • 1 ounce heavy cream

Directions

    Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.

    Shake well.
  3. 3
    Strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.

To qualify this for the Treasures of the Caribbean Challenge in the Beverage Forum, and to avoid excessive depression (!!), I subbed the gin for RUM Sarah_Jayne! I have no idea what it would be like with gin, but I suspect that rum is the better liquor here........it was GORGEOUS! A boozy milkshake type cocktail! It all worked very well, although I admit to being sceptical before I mixed it all together. The grenadine fell to the bottom, like a Tequila Sunrise and made it look SO pretty!! I did not strain mine, but added a couple of cubes - the lighten a VERY boozy beverage at Lunch time! made for Whine and Cheese gang and ZWT5 - merci encore. FT
