Mmmmm, love these. They last forever and stay delicious. I got this recipe from Sturbridge Village.

SERVES 56 , 56 cookies (change servings and units)

    Cream sugar and shortening.

    Put baking soda in molasses.
  3. 3
    Sift dry ingredients.
  4. 4
    Alternate dry ingredients, watter, molasses/soda.

    The dough will be sticky! Chill for at least four hours.

    Scoop out w/ small ice cream scoop. Use a glass coated in sugar and water to flatten balls.

    Bake 375 for 8-12 minutes.
