Jean's Cookies

Recipe #383560 | 35 min | 20 min prep | add private note

By: Chef Lizzie
Jul 31, 2009

These were originally dubbed "chicken cookies" by our church youth group. I have no idea why, but the name stuck. I didn't want to post them that way for obvious reasons. Anyway, these are a big hit for road trips, and what kid-young or old-doesn't love cookies?!

SERVES 30 , 60 cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cream the margarine with the sugars.
  2. 2
Add the eggs and salt and mix until smooth.
  3. 3
Blend in the baking soda/water mixture.
  4. 4
Add oatmeal, flour, rice krispies, and chocolate chips.
  5. 5
Drop by spoonfuls on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  6. 6
Bake 10-15 minutes in a 350 oven until lightly browned.
