Homemade Rabbit Meal for Dogs

A basic Rabbit meal for dogs. Preparation and cooking times are approximate.

10 cups, approximately (change servings and units)

    Place rabbits in a large pot and add water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 30-45 minutes or until rabbit is cooked and falling from the bone.

    Remove rabbit from the pot. Remove all meat from bones, making sure you get all the bones from the pot as well. Discard bones. Return rabbit meat to pot.

    Return pot to a boil. Add barley, rice and vegetables. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or until rice and barley are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

    Remove from heat. Stir in canola oil.
  5. 5
    Cool completely. Stir in yogurt.

    Package meals in Ziploc bags or containers. Refrigerate or freeze.
