Green Bean Almondine

These green beans are very flavorful and the crunchy almonds are outstanding.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans cut green beans

  • 1/3 cup of chopped bacon
  • 1/4 cup slivered almond
  • 1/3 cup diced onion

Directions

  1. 1
    Fry the bacon in a saucepan until all the fat has rendered and the bacon is almost crispy.
  2. 2
    Add the onions and almonds and cook until onions are translucent and the almonds are browned.
  3. 3
    Toss the bacon mixture with the green beans in a casserole dish.

    Serve hot.
