Grandma Carson's Banana Bread

Recipe #395954 | 1½ hours | 15 min prep | add private note

By: Mom of Five
Oct 22, 2009

I got this recipe from a cookbook put out by Bethany Christian Services when we adopted our first child. This has been a favorite of my kids for years. The only thing I do differently is sprinkle in a few chocolate chips!

SERVES 8 , 2 loaves (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Cream butter and brown sugar in bowl until light and fluffy. Add bananas, eggs and vanilla; blend well. Add dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured pans. Bake at 325* for 1 1/4 hour or until loaves test done. Cool on wire rack.
