This recipe came from an old cookbook. This is a recipe I use the most.

SERVES 6 , 1/2 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. 2
    Cobine milk and slightly beaten egg.
  3. 3
    Add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring just to moisten. Set aside.
  4. 4
    Prepare cherry, peach, apple, or rhubarb filling.
  5. 5
    Pour filling into 8-1/4x1-3/4 inch round baking dish.
  6. 6
    Immediately spoon on biscuit topper in 6 mounds.
  7. 7
    Bake at 400 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
  8. 8
    Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
