Another great recipe I found online.

SERVES 3 , 6 eggs (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • salt & pepper

Directions

  1. 1
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Break the eggs carefully into the pan. (Try not to break the yoke).
  2. 2
Sprinkle with sumac, salt, & pepper. Continue to fry the egg until the white part is no longer runny & the yoke is done to your preference.

I had no idea this combination could be so good! A lot of sumac sitting in my cupboard and I was using it just for kebabs. I sprinkled generously. I'll make this again.

4 1/2 stars. This was really good as written. The first time I used Spanish Potato Omelet (Tortilla a la Espanola) as a base and used a bit less than 1/2 tbs sumac for DH and I it was tasty. The second time I followed the recipe and liked it a lot. Made for Ramadan Tag.

Yum! I love sumac, and had never thought of putting it on eggs! This was a great flavour combination! I didn't measure any thing, I just added what I thought looked good. Lol I will make this again and again!
