I got this from Giada on the food network. I love her show Everyday Italian and this recipe is a complete first for me. I used to think that her recipes were expensive and just not really realistic for average people. But this recipe has made me a total believer. Give it a shot it doesn't get much easier that this. If you like to Puree your own tomatos then please by all means do but for those of you who are taking baby steps like me enjoy this recipe!

SERVES 2 -8 , 1 cup (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Heat Stock Pot on Med.-low. Add some EVOO to lightly lightly lightly coat the pan. More so you can saute your veggies.
  2. 2
Cut your veggies and add them as you go along but add the garlic last so it does not burn.
  3. 3
Add Salt To your veggies for flavor and to get them working faster.
  4. 4
Add your cans of crushed Tomatos and bay leaves.
  5. 5
Let this mixture cook for an hour, remove your bay leaves and your sauce is ready to serve.
  6. 6
You can use the sauce you need for your meal tonight and freeze the rest for later. That is why the Servings are all crazy and I'm sorry if you can't monitor exactly what you are eating because of it.
