French Silk Pie

This is a must have at all of our family gatherings. There is never a crumb left!

SERVES 8 -10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 baked 9 inch pie shell
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons baking cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon Crisco cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs

Directions

  1. 1
    Cream the butter and sugar. Add the cocoa, oil and vanilla. Blend together. Add the eggs one at a time beating 3-5 minutes after each. Pour into a baked 9" Pie Crust. Top with cool whip or real whipping that has been whipped. Sprinkle the top with shaved chocolate if desired.

    Refridgerate overnight to set.
