Firecracker Burgers

Recipe #381738 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

Whenever I am grilling I usually make half of my burgers this way and half plain. Anyone who overdoses on pepper in soup and likes spice enjoys these burgers. I was inspired by a burger I got in Toronto, ON a couple years back which had cracked peppercorns and was served open faced and drizzled with brown gravy. Wasn't crazy about gravy on a burger but used the concept in creating my firecracker burgers. Named this way because when you eat them it is a flavor explosion. Enjoy!!

SERVES 5 , 5 hamburgers (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 tablespoon whole multicolored european peppercorn
  • 1/2 tablespoon lawrys hamburger seasoning
  • 1 dash worcestershire sauce, per each side of burger

Directions

  1. 1
Knead whole peppercorns and Lawrys hamburger seasoning into the ground beef. Then form into patties (makes about five large patties). Splash a dash of Worcestershire sauce on each side of burger. This keeps them moist of your grill. Grill to desired wellness. Enjoy:).

stupendous!!!!! I loved it, it needs 5 stars for its flavor and another for its ease. much preferred the peppercorns whole even tho at first i worried. It just worked in a weird way to make it a mix of unpeppered meat with a bite of pepper added to each bite rather than to peppery throughout. I used krafts "grilled cheese" sharp cheddar singles, oh they are good..more cheese to the slice lol.
