These are great for a Yuletide brunch or for breakfast on Christmas morning. From the R.S.V.P. section of a December 1985 issue of Bon Appetit magazine. The recipe was requested from the Court Bistro in Saratoga Springs, New York.

    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

    Grease (or line with paper liners) one 12-cup muffin tin.
  3. 3
    Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into large bowl.
  4. 4
    Stir in eggnog,rum,butter,egg and nutmeg; spoon into prepared tin.

    Bake until tester inserted in center comes out clean, about 20 minutes.

    Cool muffins completely before serving.
