Eatable Delectable Chocolate Body Butter

Recipe #365677 | 20 min | 20 min prep | add private note

By: Abby Girl
Apr 12, 2009

Designed to provide a moisturizing massage in a trendy, natural and fun loving way. The natural butter will leave your skin soft and supple. This recipe can be cut in half or quarters quite successfully.

500 gm (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 150 g cocoa butter
  • 270 g sunflower oil
  • 50 g chocolate, Dark
  • 20 g beeswax

Directions

  1. 1
Heat slowly until all the solids have melted and the product has a smooth consistency. Pour into seamless tins or jars.
  2. 2
If desired, stir within the jar to achieve that whipped butter consistency, or whip it within the pot and spoon into the jars.
  3. 3
Sometimes this product takes a bit to set, so if having problems setting up, place the jars in the fridge until firm.
  4. 4
Note: If chocolate is not your favorite flavor, use 10 grams of other eatible flavour -- add at end before pouring into containers.

Overall, a good body butter. It melted nicely together. I added a few vit. E capsules to help preserve it. Though it takes a LONG long time to absorb into your skin. Maybe a different butter would work? Any ideas? I also used olive oil instead of the sunflower. And added a extra square of chocolate. Because........ well you know...... lol.
