    Combine cucumbers and onion in a bowl and stir to combine.

    In a jar, combine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic salt (or seasoned salt) and pepper.

    Shake dressing well.

    Pour over cucumbers and onions and stir to combine.

    Can be served immediately, but I prefer to let it marinate in the refrigerator for a few hours.

My mother, grandmother, etc, have made this or a similar recipes. In order to provide full flavor, the dish must be refrigerated for at least one hour or longer.
