This interesting recipe would be great for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I have changed it slightly.

2 quarts (change servings and units)

    In a saucepan bring the water and sugar up to a boil.

    Allow this to simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. 3
    Add the cranberries and the bourbon and simmer until the berries pop open.
  4. 4
    Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  5. 5
    When cool, press the mixture through a fine sieve.
  6. 6
    Refrigerate until cold, then freeze.
