WW Core To Try

avatar

Cookbook by

ladypit

These are things that qualify for the Weight Watchers Core Program. Toni Gifford has a wonderful Core cookbook (that you really should check out if you are interested in this type of thing). I don't think mine will be as good but these are things I want to try. Some meet the program either as is and some meet it with just a few minor modifications. Or, in some cases, the meal would be core but have 1 additional flex point. This plan emphasizes whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and a little bit of good oil. It uses no flour or sugar. Where cheese is called for I would use fat free or vegan cheese. Oil is always subbed when things call for butter, and the oil is always cut down to a few teaspoons. If pasta is mentioned I would always use whole wheat; the same with rice. If there is any sugar mentioned (and usually it will be just a tsp or 2) I would use splenda. This will be being added to regularly I hope. As I like many different types of food, this cookbook will reflect that. There are some very "Meat & Potatoes" type things here, as well as some vegan things that use tofu. Partially this is because I like to try everything, but partially this is because I want people to see that you can still eat a variety of foods following the WW Core program. I also have a cookbook where I list the Core recipes I have already tried. By checking my reviews you can often see if I have had to make modifications to make the recipe core.
