Codfish cakes are fried until crispy and golden brown to provide a taste of the New England coast. I love love these fishcakes, I serve them as a complete meal with some fries and coleslaw. Simple and quick meal Land-O-Lakes Cookbook.

    flake cod fillets apart with fork or mallet.
  2. 2
    in medium bowl stir together flaked cod and remaining ingredients "except" butter. form into 6 patties.
  3. 3
    melt butter in skillet until sizzling, place 3 patties in skillet, cook over med-high heat until golden brown, turn and continue cooking until browned and fish flakes with fork.
  4. 4
    repeat with remaining patties.
