I've been looking for quick and easy picnic type foods for this summer. I found this one from The Best 50 Picnic Foods by Bob and Coleen Simmons, that looks simple and good. You can use any fruit that you like, such as strawberries, mango, melon, pineapple chunks, dried apricot, etc.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 25 pieces fruit, chunks
  • 1/2 cup ice cream topping, chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon brandy or orange-flavored liqueur or orange juice

Directions

  1. 1
Prepare fruit and pack in a covered container.
  2. 2
In a medium bowl, stir to combine chocolate ice cream topping and brandy.
  3. 3
    Cover to pack.
  4. 4
To serve, pour the chocolate sauce into small, individual bowls and pass the fruit.
