Breaddy Egg

Recipe #392170 | 5 min | 2 min prep | add private note

Yeah, so you've probably heard of Eggy Bread or French Toast if you're an epicure, but this lazy breakfast is faster, healthier, and... well, decide for yourself if it tastes better.

SERVES 1 , 1 unit (what else could I call it?) (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Crack the egg (or eggs, if you'd like more than one) into a bowl and add a little milk. Don't put too much or it will separate and you'll end up with soggy eggs. Add salt and pepper (optional). Whisk with a whisk (or a fork).
  2. 2
Toast some bread (one slice will be enough). When it's done, rip it up into little bits. If you don't want to toast it first, it's fine. It'll probably give the end product a different texture, though.
  3. 3
Heat up a pan on high heat. When it's hot, put the olive oil in (how much you put in depends on how much you want to eat).
  4. 4
Tip the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook. When it starts to look semi-solid, add your toast bits (or bread bits, if you didn't make toast). Try and spread them out if you can.
  5. 5
When it looks cooked, you can either turn it into an omelet by flipping half of it over onto the other half, or you can mix it up until it looks like a mess (scrambled eggs). Scrambling is much easier.
  6. 6
Turn it out onto a plate and eat it.
