Best Brownies I've Ever Had

Recipe #385037 | 35 min | 15 min prep | add private note

By: Cabnolen

A friend of mine brought these brownies to a party, it was gone in seconds! With a kick of chili, no one would notice unless told. Once you're told there's chili you'd think "oh yes....I can taste it..!" Amazing! Thanks Dan for sharing this amazing recipe!

SERVES 12 , 25 slices (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. 2
    Melt butter.
  3. 3
    Beat eggs with sugar.
  4. 4
    Add vanilla and melted butter.
  5. 5
Mix in flour, cocoa, chilli powder and baking powder.
  6. 6
    * Yes, the chilli powder makes it taste better.
  7. 7
    * It has been suggested that if you over mix it will collapse, so mix in dry ingredients by hand, sifting them in (haven't tried this as there have been compliments over the failed brownie).
  8. 8
    Add optional nuts.
  9. 9
Put in tin (23 x 23 cm) and bake at 180°C for 20-30 min (20 min is good - sinks a bit) until skewer inserted in centre comes out clean.
  10. 10
For some reason, the brownies always collapse - but taste wonderful. Makes ~25 slices.
