Berry Smooth Shake Smoothie

Recipe #388648 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: Mctet
Sep 3, 2009

This is my favourite smoothie recipe! My kids love it, which is even better. Oddly, I originally found it on a website providing camping tips for the Freeman River campground in Alberta. I haven't yet figured out how to get my blender to work in my tent, but the recipe is a big hit in my kitchen at home. I've also done this with strawberries, which were tasty. The fruit doesn't necessarily have to be frozen.

SERVES 4 , 3 1/2 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Put berries and milk in the blender. Blend on medium for about 1 minute to get the berries really blended into the milk.
  2. 2
Add yoghurt, honey, banana and vanilla. Blend at medium until well mixed, roughly 30 seconds.
  3. 3
Add in ice cubes. Pulse a few times or start on low, then go to medium to get the ice cubes chopped up and well distributed through the smoothie.
