November 21st: Gingerbread Day
We cant celebrate Gingerbread Day without talking about.........ginger! The spice ginger is the underground rhizome of the ginger plant, known botanically as Zingiber officinale. The plant's botanical name is thought to be derived from its Sanskrit name "singabera" which means "horn shaped," a physical characteristic that ginger reflects.

One Dish Wonders! Just the thing for those colder Autumn and Winter Days, who can resist a bubbling casserole after a heavy day at work or the shops! Casseroles are easy and nutritious, they can be prepared ahead of time and are easy to pop in the oven whilst you are busy with other chores; plus, they can be as hearty and filling, or light and fresh as you require them to be, so they should cover all your families’ mid-week needs – or indeed busy weekend needs too!
