I am in charge of a table for a ladies' luncheon here in a few weeks and I think I'm going to make those for each table setting. Way too cute and the kids and I will have a ball making them!!

I do enjoy making gingerbread houses, and my mom does crafts, so we've done some impressive things.

You can do a mini version by building a house with graham crackers over a well rinsed one cup milk container. The graham crackers fit just right. Thick icing with no butter holds the thing together, and works as the glue for decorating.

My son has a dental appliance, and can't eat the sticky things.

The other thing I've done is donate it to the food bank. Because it was loose, I included my name and phone number and told them where it came from.

y'all are much more creative than i am!

i put it all in a big zip bag and send it up to hubby's office. it buys some good will from his co-workers and gets the garbage out of my house!

My kids will be mad at me but it's just too much! They have some real junk in there and their teeth, etc. will suffer. What limits do you impose? One is 14 and the other is 11. I may do 2 pieces a day (and then when they're not around, start tossing it icon_redface.gif ). I am so tempted too! I feel better about the chocolate than the gummy or hard candy. Wonder if I could donate some of it?

When I was growing up, we were allowed a couple pieces that first night. (It's too late at night for too many pieces)

Then the next night we are allowed to eat a whole bunch. Still not a HUGE amount... but a LOT. icon_biggrin.gif

After that, it is 2 or 3 per day. Depending on the size, stickieness etc.

My guys ended up with a lot of chips this year. So that isn't too bad. It makes their bags look full, so they think that's awesome. And I know that it will be gone quickly enough.

Usually, I will send one small piece of candy in their lunches as well. But this year, a lot of their candy is not nut free so they will have to do without.
