As far as how I eat my soft boiled eggs....My stepmother brought me back a really cool tool from their visit to Germany a couple of years ago. Loula, you would most likely have seen them. It makes life so much easier. No more smacking the top of the egg and getting those pesky little shell pieces.
You place the large base on top of the egg, bring the little ball to the top and let it drop. Presto, a clean cut on your egg. I just love it. Thank you Inga!!
Lori, yes that's such a nifty little gadget, isnt it?
It's called
"Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher" in German, which really is a far too long and complicated name everyone is jokin about. Roughly translated it means: Eggshell-exactly-where-it-should-be-crack-maker..
You can't be serious!
That would explain why she couldn't remember the name when I asked her. She is German and I can speak it as well. I've been trying to pronounce it, but am having a humdinger of a time.
