Andi, my grandmother used to have cups like that, but I only ever saw her use the large part. Perhaps the bottom small part was just the stand.
As far as how I eat my soft boiled eggs....My stepmother brought me back a really cool tool from their visit to Germany a couple of years ago. Loula, you would most likely have seen them. It makes life so much easier. No more smacking the top of the egg and getting those pesky little shell pieces. icon_lol.gif You place the large base on top of the egg, bring the little ball to the top and let it drop. Presto, a clean cut on your egg. I just love it. Thank you Inga!!

Lori, yes that's such a nifty little gadget, isnt it?
It's called "Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher" in German, which really is a far too long and complicated name everyone is jokin about. Roughly translated it means: Eggshell-exactly-where-it-should-be-crack-maker..rotfl.gif

You can't be serious! icon_eek.gif That would explain why she couldn't remember the name when I asked her. She is German and I can speak it as well. I've been trying to pronounce it, but am having a humdinger of a time. rotfl.gif

What kind of eggs do you use? (organic or regular from grocery) Eggland's Best Organic Brown Eggs from the regular grocery store

Brown or white? Brown

Medium, Large, XLarge, or Jumbo? Large

Most fav way to eat an egg? Fried, with buttery toast to drag through the yolk.
