Banana Nut Teabread

I have made this recipe many times over the years and my DH loves it, I hope you will too. This delicious banana bread uses a food processor, it can be done equally by hand if you don't own one. The quantity given makes 1 large loaf. It comes from the British book of food processors properly explained by Dianne Page.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Directions

    Put the walnuts into a food processor bowl and process until coarsely chopped.
  2. 2
    Peel the bananas and break each into 4 pieces and process with the walnuts until mashed.
  3. 3
    Add the remaining ingredients and process untill well mixed.
  4. 4
    Spoon the mixture into a large greased loaf tin.
  5. 5
    Smooth the surface and bake for 1-1 1/2hrs at 350 degrees or until a tooth pick comes out clean.

    Cool in the loaf tin for 15 minutes then turn out onto a cooling rack.
