Found by my DD while looking for a vegan recipe to serve for dinner at www.fatfreevegan.com.

SERVES 2 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat elbow macaroni

  • 1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans in tomato sauce

  • 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (or barbeque)
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • dried chili pepper flakes or hot sauce

Directions

  1. 1
    Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Add all other ingredients and heat. Simmer to blend flavours.

How can this be a Vegan...or even vegetarian recipe when it contains Pork and Beans? Heinz used to make canned beans that were the same as Pork and Beans but without the Pork. Have not been able to find them in a very long time. Sounds like a good recipe other than that.
