This simple and refreshing beverage is made of equal parts apple juice and carbonated mineral water. You may mix equal parts Apfelschorle with white wine for a "Weinschorle", or with beer for a "Apfel Berliner Weisse". Very popular in Germany and Europe!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

32 ounces best-quality apple juice
1 (32 ounce) bottle carbonated mineral water

Directions

Mix equal parts of apple juice and carbonated water in a tall glass.

You may mix equal parts of Apfelschorle with white wine for a "Weinschorle", or with Berliner Weisse beer for a "Apfel Berliner Weisse", garnish with a slice of fresh lemon. Delicious and thirst-quenching!

You are right. It is very popular and it is so refreshing on a hot day. I always order Weinschorle, when I am back in Franken/Erlangen. It is often served in Southern Germany.
