Another Loaded Potato Soup

Not sure where I found this recipe, but know I want to put it on here for safe keeping as it is my families favorite! Use the Kraft american Cheese that is NOT wrapped separately, it is in a blue wrapper.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    In a large pot cook bacon until crisp, drain on paper towel.
  2. 2
    Leave some of the bacon grease in the bottom of the pan (about a Tbsp) and add potatoes, broth, carrots, onions, parsley, celery seed, salt & pepper.

    cover and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
  4. 4
    Combine flour and milk until smooth add to soup.
  5. 5
    Bring to boil, boil and stir for 2 minutes.
  6. 6
    Add bacon.
  7. 7
    Add cheese, stir until cheese melts and soup is hot again.
  8. 8
    Garnish with green onions if desired.
