Recipe #63648 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note

Just what the name says, but the name still doesn't do it justice! It is one of my family's favorites! This is one of those desserts that is so simple and delicious at the same time!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 (1/3 ounce) packet sugar-free jello (any flavor)

  • 2 cups nonfat yogurt (This should be any flavor that compliments the jello.)
  • 2 cups water

Directions

  1. 1
Put yogurt into a serving dish that will hold about one quart.
  2. 2
Make jello as directed on box.
  3. 3
    Immediately pour jello into dish.
  4. 4
    Stir well, until completely mixed.
  5. 5
Let set in refrigerator, at least 4 hours.
  6. 6
This can also be made in 4 individual serving cups. Put 1/2 cup yogurt into each cup. Divide jello evenly between each serving cup. Mix each cup individually.
  7. 7
If you don't have a large container of yogurt, you can also use 2 (8oz) containers, or even 3 to 4 (6oz) containers.

I made this last night for dinner. My family enjoyed this very much. I used cherry jello with cherry vanilla yogurt. We polished it off and discussed other possible combinations. Thank you for sharing your recipe.

I'm sure a lot of others think "Now why didn't I think of that?" when they see this recipe ~ I certainly did, & I'm a big fan of both yogurt AND jello! Anyway, I made this with good ol' strawberry flavors & it was very, very nice, & I'll be happy to add sliced strawberries to it when they're in season locally! This is an interesting recipe. Very easy and fast to make, with ingredients I almost always have on hand. I found it ok, not a fabulous taste but not bad. But my kids LOVE it. It's nice and sweet like the commercially prepared yogurts marketed to kids, but I can control what is in it. Thanks so much for posting this one!

Great! The description is right on. I used regular black cherry jello and vanilla yogurt. Softer than jello but not quite pudding. The kids loved it! This would be a great snack or dessert for kids who love gogurt or other commercial kids yogurt snacks, without high fructose corn syrup. This will be a regular at my house. Thanks, strawberry, for posting!
