One of my all time favorites. You can do this in a chicken fry pan on top of the stove but the original recipe was in the oven. You can add mushrooms too.

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400.
  2. 2
    Put all into a baking dish, stir and cover.
  3. 3
    Bake 45 minute Uncover and stir.
  4. 4
    Continue to cook the veggies are to your liking and the chicken is cooked.

    Meanwhile, boil water for pasta and cook.
  6. 6
    Or nuke red or white potatoes.

    Yum! I thought this dish had a wonderful flavor. Mine turned out a bit watery so I am not giving it a full five stars, but I will definitely make this recipe again. My husband and teenagers liked it as well!

    I prepared this meal as part of Pick a Chef 2006, a contest which showcases 'Zaar's newer members. My cassrole included mushrooms, as mentioned in the comment and I also added 1/2 yellow pepper and a small zucchini cut into large chunks. The cacciatore was just as delicious as a traditional stove top version but so much easier. What a treat to be able to put it in the oven and walk away. As someone else who also does WW Core, I will be making this often. Thanks.

    I was getting very bored on WW Core and need something with pasta. This was very, very yummy and makes alot so you can have small portion left overs!
