Ww 3 Pt. (Weight Watchers) Broccoli Quiche

Recipe #135647 | 55 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: MPHT
Aug 30, 2005

This is a recipe I came up with because I love broccoli and I like to stick to 3-4 pts for breakfast when I am on Weight Watchers. This quiche and 1 low fat english muffin keep me full until lunch.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Thaw, rinse and drain broccoli.
  2. 2
Put 1/2 of broccoli in 11x7 glass pan sprayed with Pam.
  3. 3
Put 1/2 onion, 1/2 pepper and all of cheese on top of that.
  4. 4
Put remaining broccoli, onion and pepper on top of that.
  5. 5
Blend egg beaters, milk, bisquick, salt and pepper in a blender until smooth.
  6. 6
Pour mixture over broccoli in pan.

  8. 8
Cut into 6 pieces when cool.

Very good quiche recipe. I added 4 cloves of roasted garlic and 1/2 tsp dry thyme to the egg and baking mix mixture. It was absolutely delicious. Thanks!

I just started back on WW, and so my taste buds are still not yet adjusted. Still, this recipe was VERY bland. I'm not a great chef, so I don't know really how to add flavor to this recipe to make it good. I tried the garlic salt, but it didn't work very well for me. I will keep this recipe in my cookbook just in case someone goes on here and posts a review with suggestions as to flavor. Thanks!

I used fresh broccoli parboiled for a few minutes and garlic salt and basil and it came out great! You can really do this with any combination of vegetables (maybe spinach and mushroom). Very Good!

this smelled really good while baking but the taste was a bit too bland for me. I might try adding garlic powder to the egg batter to give it more flavor. I also might use fresh broccoli since that just tastes better to me than frozen. But I've been looking for a broccoli casserole so I appreciate this recipe. Thanks!
