This was a good cookie...but to say "Best in the world"...I think is over doing it...I do like the brown sugar taste to it, and loved the generous amount of chocolate chips. Chocolate Chip cookies are certainly a subjective taste. For mine...this recipe did'nt cut it.

If I could give this recipe more stars I would. I have finally found the world's best chocolate chip cookie recipe (that uses butter and not shortening!). I have tried them all ... with pudding mix, with bread flour, you name it. I came very close to not trying this recipe thinking it would be one more mess of flat cookies, but it was just perfect. Without the nuts, these cookies also pass the "kid test" in our house. Thanks for sharing.

I have made this recipe several times, and since I'm so unorganized, I spend at least 20 min. or so looking this recipe up on 'zaar every time I need it. (Yes, this time for sure it's in my cookbook! and No, the search never worked for this one!). Anyway, it's the only choc chip recipe I use anymore. Had to give the recipe to a friend, too, who uses this one exclusively now too. Where can you go wrong w/3 cups of chocolate in a recipe? And to quote an old song... "Baby, now that I've found you I won't let you go..."
