Wilt Chamberlain's Texas Chili Seasoning

Recipe #97914 | 5 min | 5 min prep | add private note

Wilt's restaurant has the best chili. It's served in a bread bowl and just bursts with flavor. I used this seasoning to make my chili and it turned out great. This recipe makes enough to season about 2 lbs of ground chuck.

3 tablespoons (change servings and units)

This was really good! It is spicy, but that's the way we like it. I will be using this seasoning for now on. Thanks!

This seaasoning is great! Not too spicy, not too bland for my family. We use 1 ib of ground beef, 1 can chili beans, 1 can diced tomatoes, and 1 can tomato sauce. This is our favorite chili seasoning now. Thanks!

This seasoning is very good, but also very hot. I made it as directed, apart from also adding 1 tsp of ground corriander. I used about 3/4 of it with 2lbs of ground meat and four tins of stewed tomatoes, plus beans and it still had a lot of heat. So if you like it hot this is for you, otherwise I'd advise to reduce the amount of cayenne. Thanks for sharing!

This is a great seasoning to use whenever you want to add some heat to any dish that calls for chili powder. I confess to being scared when faced with adding 1 whole teaspoon of cayenne pepper to this mix and only used 1/2 teaspoon. I halved the recipe and used the whole thing in my Arroz Con Queso in the Crockpot and this addition greatly improved the flavor. It was spicy! Thanks to Wilt and to you Boca Pat.
