White Wine Citrus Sangria

Recipe #54948 | 10 min | 10 min prep | add private note

By: CarolAnn
Feb 26, 2003

This is the most wonderful sangria I have ever made — but I much prefer white wine in sangria to red wine. This is great for serving at a spring or summer party — just watch out! It gets consumed quickly! And, of course, you can add additional fruit to your liking.

SERVES 8 -10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Slice 1 orange and both lemons.
  2. 2
    Juice the second orange.
  3. 3
Combine orange and lemon slices and orange juice with the wine, sugar and liquor.
  4. 4
    Chill until ready to serve.
  5. 5
To serve, add ice and club soda, stirring gently.

Very tasting - just like the my favourite from a local restaurant. Couple of minor changes/additions for our own taste - used Sauvigon Blanc wine, made a simple syrup instead of using just sugar and added limes (love limes!!) Thank for posting!!

I loved this recipe!!! I made it exactly as stated but used pellegrino instead of club soda - it was yummy!! My picky husband thought it wasn't sweet enough, so the second time we made it we doubled the brandy and cointreau - just as good, but with more of a kick.
