This is a frothy wonderful treat to have in the evening when you don't want to go to bed with anything heavy in your stomach. I always feel so decadent drinking it and have to remind myself that it is actually healthy and has no fat or added sugar in it!

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 4-5 ice cubes (4 for regular cubes, 5 for smaller sizes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions

  1. 1
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  2. 2
Use the ice crush option to pulse until the ice is mostly blended.
  3. 3
Blend in a blender on the very highest speed for 5 minutes.

Last night was really cold so I decided to try this warm. I skipped the ice cubes and replaced the cinnamon with a little grated nutmeg. It was fantastic and I slept like a baby... Thank you for posting. Forgot to add, I used 1 cup of skim milk to make up for the ice and an immersion blender to whip it up. I think next time I might add a tsp of cocoa powder...

It's almost too easy! This is a great basic recipe & I love that it is fat free! I added a dash of nutmeg after pouring into the glass. I plan on experimenting with additional flavors and additions..like, pumpkin pie spice, or coffee...

This was very easy to throw together. I decided to make it because I'm gestational diabetic and miss having fun indulgences like shakes . It gave me that same texture without the carbs! I think in the future I'm going to try adding a little splenda to the mix for some sweetness. The vanilla and cinnamon flavor was really good. I like Been There, Baked That's idea about experimenting with other flavors too. Thanks so much for posting...this is one I'm going to be enjoying often!
