I came across this yummy muffin which has 150 calories and is 3 weight watchers points

SERVES 18 , 18 muffins (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. 2
Line eighteen muffin cups with paper liners.
  3. 3
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda.
  4. 4
In a large bowl, with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat the sugar, applesauce, eggs and oil until frothy. With the mixture at low speed, alternately add the bananas and buttermilk with the flour mixture; stire until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. 5
    Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. 6
Spoon the batter into the cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  7. 7
Bake until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 20-25 minutes.
  8. 8
Remove from the cups and cool completely on a rack.

The muffins were good, not too sweet easy too. I subsituted 1 cup of whole wheat flour. Thanks for sharing

These were really good. Somehow I got 23 muffins instead of 18, not sure what I did there. But, I was happy to have the extra ones once I realized how good they are. I used the min-choc. chips since that's what I had and also used the kids' scooby doo flavored applesauce because I was out of regular. My batter was pink from the berry applesauce, but you'd never know by the flavor in my muffins. Excellent recipe that went into my make-again folder. Thanks tearose!
