Wayne's Famous Beef Ribs

Delicious, fall off the bone Beef Ribs with a tangy, sweet sauce, smoked on the barbecue, this is my Husband's much sought after recipe for Beef Ribs.

SERVES 8 -10 , 8 -10 ribs (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Place ribs in a large pot of water and simmer covered for approx 3 hours or until tender.
  2. 2
    These ribs will be smoked on the grill, so you will need to soak approximately 1/2 cup of oak or wood chips in water now, until you are ready to grill.
  3. 3
    Mix sauce with brown sugar, molasses and curry powder. Remove ribs from pot and baste with sauce.
  4. 4
    Pre-heat barbecue grill to medium-low and add oak chips to coal, or under grill, and place ribs on grill.
  5. 5
    Grill approximately 15 minutes per side with lid down to smoke.
  6. 6
    Baste ribs periodically with more sauce while grilling.
  7. 7
    Enjoy the most succulent beef ribs you have ever had!

I had the pleasure of these ribs made by Chef Wayne at last weeks Zaarfest. They are just amazing! I intend to make them very soon and often. Dh was getting a little embarassing though..... yum yum noises are not what you want to hear from your spouse in public Seriously GREAT ribs - you have to try them.

    Wayne treated us to these ribs at the Zaarfest at the Ponderosa, I stopped on my way home to buy beef ribs. LOVE LOVE LOVE this recipe. Thanks Leslie !!! (and Wayne LOL)

    Incredible!!! Yum! Didn't have oak chips, used hickory chips instead. Also, being a garlic lover I HAD to add one minced clove. My husband gave me TWO kisses. He also said some recipes should be outlawed because they're too good! Thanks Wayne!

    Does Recipezaar sell bibs? Wayne, these are amazing! Wow! We don't often have ribs in Australia so this was something a bit different for us. Don't be scared to boil these ribs - it really goes go against all my thinking but the ribs turned out so very tender. The BBQ'ing seared the ribs holding in all the juices. I did make some extra of your sauce to serve on the side. I also cheated and served with KFC coleslaw. Hope to see lots more of Wayne's recipes!
