We love keeping this on hand for the cold nights and when company comes over. You can even leave the alcohol out for the kids. My daughter loves it for a treat.

I have been making this for a years and I guess I just never rated it! I love how easy this is to make and store. I sometimes use hot cider instead of water to make Hot spiced cider. It is also a nice addition to a cup of coffee. My neighbors and I sit by a camp fire and sit on this while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters every Halloween. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe. My Fiance and I live in Montana and if you can believe it's still raining and cold! We wanted something to warm us up on these cold nights and this our new drink of choice. We made a small batch at first and after our first sips we decided to make a full batch to keep in the freezer. Great idea for company too!

I actually made this recipe for the first time two years ago but apparently forgot to rate it - probably because I was in sweet sugar high after tasting this drink! It's wonderful: smooth, rich, sweet and comforting. I prefer to start by creaming together the butter, the sugars and the spices and then adding the soft ice cream: gives a smoother batter with no butter lumps. This is a great recipe and will get made over and over again!

Excellent! Everyone enjoyed this drink and I had several request for the recipe. Yes, it does make a large batch, so some of you may want to cut the recipe in half.
