I tried this recipe out last night and it was delicious!! Next time I will cut back on the sugar and brown sugar. It was a little to sweet for out tastes.

This is quick and easy to put together and makes a rich side dish that will go with a variety of entrees. I did cut back on the sugar and it worked fine. Next time I will use frozen corn, add a couple of tablespoons of chicken broth for the liquid and use a bunch of green onions instead of a regular onion to add some color interest. Thanks for sharing, this is delicious!

Thank you so much for sharing this yummy dish of your Mother's. I followed the recipe exactly and it was very good. (I might cut back on the sugar a bit next time.) I really enjoyed the blend of flavors.
