This fit right into our diet. I used mashed red potatoes for the top, for taste and texture. Otherwise, followed it pretty close, and it was tasty and filling. Definitely will make again! Thanks for posting something that fit so well!

I've never had Shepherd's Pie before, but this was a nice, easy meal to make with stuff we had around the house. Four stars is because I had to add more seasoning to keep the recipe from being bland. I didn't have chicken stock/broth, so I used 1/2 cup water plus a tablespoon of A-1, and one packet of soy sauce. Added a dash of cumin, cayenne pepper, and a dash of rosemary, as well as garlic and onion powder. I also added a lot of frozen peas and carrots. Very east recipe, and a fun one to let kids help you cook! I didn't use olive oil, I just didn't drain the meat. Thanks for an easy recipe, my FI enjoyed it!

Kree, I enjoyed this immensely. This recipe was very simple and turned out fantastic - even my roux and gravy turned out great (and I normally don't have luck with roux/gravy)! My package of ground turkey was 1.39lbs., I used 1 small onion, 2 tsp of jarred, minced garlic, and 2 tsp of dried parsley for the fresh. I used Fresh & Easy brand Unsweetened Organic Soy Milk, and chicken bouillon cube and water for the chicken stock. The time/temp were perfect and I made everything else as directed. Bf said this was pretty good, but he would have liked some veggies (he requested green beans and corn) and he did say this was good for being plain and he gave 4 stars, but he'd like me to make again, adding veggies. Btw, the potatoes I had were homemade leftover mashed potatoes made with Smart Balance with Flaxseed Oil, some soy milk (same brand as I used for the gravy), rosemary, and garlic. I added a dash of black pepper and 4 dashes of worcesheshire sauce when browning the turkey. I had two very large helpings (oops!). Thanks for sharing, Kree, great comfort food and fits great with an IBS diet. I give this 5 stars.
