Tuna Steaks with Pineapple Sauce

A caribbean inspired recipe that goes well with either tuna or swordfish steaks. Perfect for the grill too. Serve with an island style rice pilaf. Prep time does not include marinating time.

I cannot believe that this recipe was posted in early 2003 and has not yet been rated. I prepared the recipe as instructed and everything turned out great. However, I did not add the oil to the Pineapple Sauce as I did not feel it was needed (saved a few calories). The marinade gave the tuna a very nice taste. The Pineapple Sauce was outstanding ... just the right blend of hot, sweet, and sour. In addition, I served the Orange-Jalapeno Relish from Sauteed Tuna Steaks With Orange-Jalapeno Relish. The Pineapple Sauce was a perfect accompaniment to the Relish and tuna. Thanks, BoxO'Wine for this very nice recipe.
