Make at your own RISK!!! You will never us store bought ketchup again.

SERVES 8 , 8 - 6oz. jars. (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Blanch tomatoes; peel, then chop or slice them, then put them into a large pot.

    Pour white vinegar over tomatoes & let it sit overnight.

    Add celery & apples and boil until thick, stirring occasionally.

    Take the coarse salt & mixed pickling spice and place then in a cheesecloth bag.

    Add apple-cider vinegar, spice bag & cinnamon sticks to tomatoes.

    Now add the sugar & cayenne. Boil again for 10 to 15 minute or until the mixture has thickened.

    Remove the spice bag & the cinnamon sticks.

    Adjust the seasoning.

    Pour mixture into sterilized jars & seal.
