Tofu and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce Recipe

I found this easy vegetarian stir-fry from Jolinda Hackett online.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    Cut tofu into 1 inch cubes.
  2. 2
    in a large skillet, sautee onions and garlic in olive oil until onions turn clear, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. 3
    Add the tofu, ginger, cayenne and broccoli to the pan and continue to cook until broccoli is done, another 6-8 minutes.

    In a separate small bowl, mix together the corn starch, soy sauce and water, then add this mixture to the broccoli and tofu. Cook until sauce thickens, then remove from heat. Serve over rice or whole grains and enjoy!

Nice taste! I froze, thawed, pressed, then diced my tofu to give it a nice texture, then coated it in a mixture of flour, salt & pepper and then fried it in oil before adding it to this recipe. It had a nice texture and feel to it like that. I didn't serve this with rice, but will try that next time, as well as maybe increasing the quantity of sauce mixture also. My kids all enjoyed this, as well as adults. Thanks!
