This is a TOH recipe. It is like a toffee spiced taste. I'm making these for CHRISTmas gifts.

SERVES 12 , 3 cups (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
In large bowl, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg. Add peanuts, toss to coat. Transfer to 15x10x1 inch baking pan.
  2. 2
Bake at 300 for 20-25 minutes or until bubble and golden brown, stirring once. Be sure to keep an eye on these. Cool on wire rack; break apart if necessary. Store in an airtight container.

I made these last night to get a jump on making Christmas treats. The directions were easy to follow, ingredients were all things I had on hand. I found that 20 minutes was definitely enough time and it may have even needed less time in my oven. Like other reviewers have mentioned, I think I would have liked more coating on these. In the end, I'll probably just stick with the spiced nut recipe I usually use, but thank you for posting this so I could try making something different!

These were pretty good, I think they need a little more coating. My husband could hardly taste the mix just the peanuts unless he ate a whole cluster... the flavor is great, next time I will increase the coating! Thanks
