The Promised Land for a Chilly Day

Recipe #341607 | 2 min | 1 min prep | add private note

One of my son's favorite hot drinks--warm, filling, and delicious. Amounts are just suggested and approximate; adjust to suit your taste and your mug. The amounts given are for a kid-size mug or teacup, so increase if using a larger mug.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Put milk into a microwave-safe mug. Add honey.
  2. 2
Heat in microwave for about 1 minute (depending on how powerful the microwave is) or until hot but not boiling. Allow to sit for about 1 minute.
  3. 3
Stir honey into milk. Sprinkle a dash or two of nutmeg on top before serving.

I served this to my son after getting home from indoor soccer and being cold and tired. He enjoyed the flavors and I liked that it was very basic to make. Works great in the microwave. Made for 123 Hits.

So simple, and so good! I used almond milk as I am getting away from dairy and it was so good and soothing. Thanks!

A great way to get the children to drink something warm on a cold day.I especially liked it for its simplicity and the fact that no chocolate/cocoa products were involved. Thanks! Made for 1-2-3 Hits.
