The Perfect Marinade for Grilled Steak

This marinade will produce the most tender and not to mention the best tasting steak and it's enough for up to four steaks about 1-1/2-inches thick --- just remember to bring the steaks to almost room temperature before grilling this will relax the meat fibers and make for a more tender juicy steak --- the amounts may be doubled but keep the garlic at the same amount, for best results it is recommended to not substitute any ingredients, do not add any salt to the marinade and do not salt the meat until ready to grill --- this marinade may be used for any cut of steaks.

SERVES 2 -4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. 2
    Pour over steaks.
  3. 3
Cover tightly and place the steaks in the refrigerator for minimum 4 hours or even better for 24 hours.
  4. 4
Remove the steaks from the fridge.
  5. 5
Bring the steaks down to almost room temperature before grilling.
  6. 6
Season steaks with steak seasoning or seasoning of choice if desired (I like to use Montreal Steak Seasoning).
  7. 7
Grill for 6-12 minutes turning 3-4 times or until desired doneness.

I like to double the recipe for 4 ribeye steaks. This marinade is so much better than anything you can buy at the grocery store!

A superb marinade. I grilled for 40 a few weeks ago and marinaded about half the pork and half the steak in this for 3 or 4 hours in advance. The difference in taste and texture was really noticeable, and I had made many requests for the recipe - I sent them here. Changes: besides changes for quantity, I added 1 TBSP more of basalmic vinegar, and that was it! Too bad I discovered this at the end of the BBQ season.

Wow! What a great marinade. We used it for a steak and for a vegetarian beef kabob. Both were excellent. I used a combination of Balsamic and red wine vinegar (only because I didn't have enough Balsamic but didn't know it until I was making the marinade) We will deffinately be making this again!

This steak is awesome. Very Flavorful. I think I would rather eat this steak than have sex.
