The Elegant Wrap

Recipe #166307 | 30 min | 20 min prep | add private note

This unique recipe was originally titled "Alaska Crab Wrap Sandwich" (Source: Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute). It was intended to be a main course for 4, but crab is expensive here & not readily available, so I adapted it as a starter course for 8 using shrimp, amended it slightly and renamed it "The Elegant Wrap".

SERVES 8 , 8 4 in tortilla halves (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Mayonnaise Sauce

Directions

  1. 1
Combine mayonnaise, lemon juice and fresh dill. Set aside.
  2. 2
Place shrimp and Brie cheese in a non-stick sauté pan. Warm over medium heat till shrimp is warm and the Brie begins to melt.
  3. 3
Lay out the 4 warmed tortillas. Top each with 1/4 of the shrimp and Brie mixture, 2/3 cup mixed greens, 1/4 of the diced tomato and 1 slice of bacon (crumbled).
  4. 4
Roll up, cut in half on the bias, garnish with crisp cucumber slices + a lemon wedge and serve immediately with the mayonnaise sauce optional.

This is really outstanding. I used crab in place of shrimp and thyme in place of the dill and skipped the bacon. The crab and Brie were just right after 23 seconds in the micro on defrost(I had images of it burning in the skillet). I felt simply indulgent while munching it. What a treat, Thank you for this Twiss.

What a great dinner I had tonight with this little treat. Great flavor and the mayo sauce is a must and that comes from someone who doesn't usually like mayo. Really simple to make and the flavors blended well especially the creamy brie with the salty bacon. Great recipe!!

Upon my first bite I died and went to heaven...then came back down really quick to polish off the rest. I stuck to the recipe except for the use of dill in the sauce, simply because I didn't have any. The family adored this, too. Not one morsel had remained on their plates.

Oh my, Oh my! I relished every bite of this wrap. The only problem is you won't be able to stop after just eating half of the wrap- it's so good you'll eat the whole thing! Oh well, it's worth every single calorie! I did follow the directions exactly and there wasn't any problem at all! Thanks Twissis- Loved this!
