Part of what was so wonderful was that I had all the ingredients without any problem. I used organic honey nut o's cereal and dribs and drabs of dried fruit. (I always end up with 3 apricots, 2 prunes, etc.) I omitted the coconut (my kids will not really eat it). The taste is lightly sweet and cinnamony. A good healthy treat.

This just came out of the oven and is so good I couldn't wait until it cooled down to try it — and to write this review. Extremely simple to make, and I cut down on the cost by buying the ingredients at a bulk food store. I used a variety of dried fruit, including apricots, pears, plums, prunes, apple slices and peaches. The smell while it was baking was heavenly, and I just tried some and it tastes divine, with just a light hint of sweetness and cinnamon. I only used one large cookie sheet; don't know if I should have used two, but the one large one worked fine. A little bit stuck to the foil, but not much. A true 5 star recipe; thanks for posting it!
